Early renewal of “Slow Horses” for Season 7

According to Cinemadrame News Agency, Apple TV+ announced that “Slow Horses” would be renewed for a seventh season even before the fifth season begins airing. The fifth season of the series, starring Gary Oldman, is scheduled to premiere in September. Apple had ordered the sixth season of the series last autumn. The seventh season will be adapted from the novel “Bad Actors” by Mick Herron.

In “Slow Horses,” Gary Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, one of MI5’s chiefs responsible for the Slough House, where substandard agents are relegated. Jack Lowden plays one of the young agents who joins Lamb after botching a mission. Other cast members in previous seasons have included Kristin Scott Thomas, Jonathan Pryce, Olivia Cooke, Freddie Fox, Rosalind Eleazar, and Chris Chung, while Hugo Weaving, Joanna Scanlan, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, and James Callis joined the cast in the fourth season. Nick Mohammed, known for “Ted Lasso,” is a special guest star in the fifth season.

In the fifth season, Roddy Ho and his new girlfriend attract all attention, but when strange events occur, the Slow Horses must uncover the connection between them. In the sixth season, Diana Taverner, played by Kristin Scott Thomas, draws spies into a dangerous game of revenge. This season will be based on Mick Herron’s sixth and seventh books.

The fifth season of “Slow Horses,” directed by Adam Randall, will premiere on September 24 with two episodes, and new episodes will be released weekly until October 22.
